Canon EF 24mm f/1.4 L II USM Lens

Many of you guys know that my signature and favorite lens is the Canon EF 135mm F/2, but actually there is another one that I really love, and for most of my photoshoots I go with just that 2 lenses! The second one is Canon EF 24mm F/1.4 lens! Yeah, is is a wide angle prime lens! It has very little distortions, not that this matters a lot for what I am shooting lol, and it has really great bokeh even it is a wide angle lens! Actually at first I was planning to get a 35mm F/1.4 lens, but then I thought… nah, that could be the most obvious choice to make! Then I got the 24mm prime, and I was wondering why the heck I did that for the next couple of months… but then… finally I got used to it, and it became one of my favorite pieces of glass! Now I feel really comfortable going to almost any shoot with just these two lenses – 24mm & 135mm! 

I’ve been using the lens a while already, and since then I have changed already 2 different camera bodies, here they are:

• Canon EOS 5D Mark II
• Canon EOS 1D-x

135mmは私のメインレンズなんだけど、基本的にレンズは2つ使ってます！ほとんどの撮影はこの2本で十分です！もう一つはCanonの24mm F/1.4です！はい、広角でポートレート！短焦点レンズで、すごく明るいので、さらにボケもすごく使えるので、135mmとは最高なコンビネーションです！

この記事はレビューではない、ただカメラマンとして、この立派な道具を使うといったい何ができるのかみたいな感じで自分の24mmを使った写真のアルバムにします！すべての絞りなどが入ってるレビューとかじゃなくて、実際の撮影の結果だけです！よくレンズの話になると、「それぞれのレンズの一番開放設定は使わないほうがいいですよ」ってカメラの先生やレッスンなどで聞いたことがありますが、まぁ、個人的にその「ルール」は完全に無視してます！というか、このレンズも当たり前みたいな設定でまずF/1.4にします！そして、特に絞る理由がなければはだいたい開放です！絞る理由があればもちろん絞ります！

135mmのF/2の一番好きなところはボケと色が綺麗なことで、かなりシャープなレンズです！ポートレートにはすごく向いてます！そして、結構ハードなロケでもずっと使ってるし、何回雨で濡らしてるかは覚えたないけど、まだ問題ありません！（もちろん、雨では自己責任で使ってくださいｗ）

今までに24mmのF/1.4は2つのボディーと使ったことがありますが、キャノンの1Dx マーク2が一番長いです:

• Canon EOS 5D Mark II
• Canon EOS 1D-x

The majority of my photographs with the 135/2 lens are taken with the Canon 5D Mark 2 body, so here are some examples with it! I’ve been using this combination probably for about 2-3 years, and I have some of my favorite photographs taken with it!

And in the end since recently I had switched to the Canon 1D-x body, here are some shots taken with that combination of camera and lens! I still have quite a lot that are not yet ready to show, but I will be updating this article from time to time to keep my new shots in as well!
