Locations: Osaka Sky Building Escalator

Osaka Sky Building: One of the most beautiful escalators!

With this article I am starting a series of articles that will introduce some of the spots I’m shooting more often at! I will not write too much here, you can just see the photos below! So the first location I want to show you is this escalator, it is in the Osaka Sky Building, close to Umeda, and this is the escalator leading to the top of the building, where you can enjoy the beautiful view of Osaka! It is the longest escalator I have ever seen, and is a must go spot in Osaka! The sides of the escalator make beautiful reflections, and probably the best time to go there is around the few yours before getting dark, when it really has some amazing natural light coming from above! All the shots I’m uploading here are taken with natural light! Feel free to share the article so more people can see that beautiful spot, and I would be happy to see your photos from there too!

Some photos at the escalator!

In the end

Now, I am preparing a series of new articles on some general topics, let me know which one of them you want to see first, so I get it ready earlier! Also other ideas are welcome too! Here are some of them: Portraits at night / Lens article (I guess 135/2) / Portraits in the rain / Use of gels / Using backlight / One light setups / Shoots with just one umbrella / General shooting portraits / Can cheap lenses make good photos / Swing the camera shots / Using snoots / Shaped bokeh / … or any other idea welcome, post it in the comments, and I will see if I am able to write about it! Also stay tuned for my new blog section starting soon called “Strobist Diary” There I will talk about many of my off-camera flash techniques from basic things to some advanced stuff!

The escalator is bling bling in your lens, and that I’m more interested in the topics of portraits at night and shaped bokeh.
